Dr Oz: Snooki Loses Weight To Be a Good Role Model For Her Son
Dr. Oz sat down with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi talk to about her weight loss, how she was bullied in school and how she was able to overcome anorexia. She also talked with Dr. Oz about how her son gave her the motivation to lose 40 pounds because he is one person she wants to be a good role model for.
Dr Oz: Snooki Weight Loss Advice
Losing 40 pounds in only six months is quite the feat and Dr. Oz wanted to know how Snooki managed to lose so much in such a short amount of time. Snooki said the first thing she needed to do to lose weight was cut her calorie intake to about 1,300 calories per day and remove all the junk food from her diet.

Snooki told Dr. Oz every morning she would eat five egg whites and some broccoli along with a mini fruit cup.

For lunch, Snooki said she would make turkey tacos because they are low in fat and they are healthy.

When it came time for dinner, Snooki said she would eat a lettuce wrapped burger with the following ingredients:

- Tomato slices
- Dijon mustard
Dr Oz: Snooki – Brown Rice Cakes For a Healthy Snack
Snooki said she always gets hungry before bed so she has a healthy snack to satisfy her cravings. She told Dr. Oz she would eat brown rice cakes with almond butter every night before bed.
Dr Oz: Snooki GTL Drink With Tequila
On Jersey Shore, Snooki and her roommates had a saying known as “GTL,” which stood for gym, tan, laundry, the three things all the roommates made an effort to do everyday. Dr. Oz had another “GTL” for Snooki though. His was entirely guilt-free. It was his GTL drink containing grapefruit juice, tequila and lime that contains only 125 calories and tastes great.

Although Snooki worked hard to stay on a strict diet, she also had a lot of help from her personal trainer. Anthony Michael is the reason Snooki lost over 40 pounds, according to her. He even came equipped with a five minute workout for Dr. Oz’s audience that focuses on burning belly fat while consistently raising your heart rate to increase weight loss. Just follow the simple exercises below and you will be burning fat in no time.
- Squat Thrust – Focuses on strengthening your core muscles.
- Plank Jacks – This exercise works to trim down the outside and inside of the legs.
- Mountain Climbers
- Star – Done in the squat position, then burst into the air like you are reaching for the stars.
