Dr. Oz taught everyone how to lose weight without working out on his newest episode. He went over the best foods, what he calls “fat melters,” you need to start eating to lose those extra pounds. Keep reading to find out which foods are going to help you lose weight for good.
Dr Oz: How Exercising Melts Fat Away
Dr. Eva Selhub, a weight loss expert, explained fat melting is very similar to when you put something fatty in a frying pan. As the pan heats up, the fatty food, such as butter, melts just as it would in our bodies. This is why exercising helps to literally melt fat away. While Dr. Selhub said she does not advocate being sedentary, there are some new ways to lose weight naturally without having to exercise.
Dr Oz: Melt Away Fat With CLA Supplement
Dr. Selhub explained CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) is a form of good trans fat with a lower melting point, meaning it burns faster. She told the audience CLA is found in beef and dairy products and since our bodies are not capable of producing it naturally, we need to get it from other sources. According to Dr. Selhub, when you consume CLA it literally melts the fat away and results can be seen in as little as four weeks.
Dr Oz: CLA Supplement Guidelines
Dr. Selhub explained you can get CLA by consuming beef, especially grass fed beef, and dairy products, but you are going to need to consume large quantities of the foods to get the most benefit. For anyone who isn’t too keen on an all beef diet, Dr. Selhub suggested taking a CLA supplement. Keep the following list of items in mind when looking for the best CLA supplement.
- Make sure it is made with sunflower oil
- Take one gram three times per day
- No need for diet or exercise
- Check with you doctor if you have diabetes
Dr Oz: Red Wine, Apples Eliminates Fat Cells
Dr. Selhub told Dr. Oz our body actually makes pyruvate when sugar is broken down into energy and this chemical compound literally soaks up the fat cells in our body and eliminates them. While you can get pyruvate in your diet by eating foods like apples and red grapes or by drinking red wine, Dr. Selhub said you would have to eat and drink way too much to achieve the weight loss you desire, just like CLA. She suggested taking a supplement but reminded everyone to follow the instructions below when taking the supplement.
- Six grams per day
- Try for two months at a time
- Include with diet and exercise to help speed up metabolism and boost weight loss
Dr Oz: Medium-Chain Triglycerides To Lose Stubborn 5 Pounds
The last fat melter Dr. Oz had on the show is the best one for losing those final stubborn pounds. They are called Medium-Chain Triglycerides (MCT) and Dr. Selhub said they are one of her favorite fat melters because they can be easily added to a healthy diet and lifestyle. The MCT’s are easier to digest due to their size, which means they go right into the stomach and liver where they are broken down for fuel in your body.
Dr Oz: Coconut Oil Melts Body Fat
Dr. Selhub told Dr. Oz the results in people who have used MCTs have been amazing. Just by adding them to their diet, people have been able to burn up to 100 extra calories a day, which equates to losing an extra pound of fat every month.
But where are you supposed to get MCT? Dr. Selhub said a good source of MCT is coconut oil, which can be added to your diet in place of butter and used to cooking or it can be taken as a supplement.
