Dr Oz: Show Inspired Woman To Lose Weight
Dr Oz introduced a woman who started a social media movement when she began her own weight loss journey two years ago and posted selfies for her own inspiration. She shared that she was used to be the chubby kid growing up, and although she was overweight, she was always confident. After having her first child, her marriage began to suffer and she was overcome with stress.

She turned to anti-anxiety medicines to cope and she reached 300 pounds. She watched Dr Oz and heard him say that the three things she needed to do to get healthy were to move more, eat less, and manage stress. She knew it was time to change so she did exactly what he said. She walked 30 minutes a day until the walking became running. SHe ate more leaves and greens and her “healthy lifestyle became her therapy.” She found that the more she exercised and the healthier she ate, the lower her stress was, until she no longer needed the medications.
She’s lost over 100 pounds and attributes it to those three little pieces of advice.
Dr Oz: Sharing Weight Loss Journey On Facebook
Dr Oz welcomed her to come out and join him on the show, showing off her incredible transformation. She said her health and her life has changed for the better. She said running is both exercise and therapy. Social media has been a big part of her journey because she has moved so many times that her community is so large. She wanted to include everyone who knows her, so she would post “sweat checks” online as a way to check in.
Dr Oz: Inspiring Others To Get Healthy
People would cheer her on every day, encouraging her along the way, and turn, people would be inspired themselves. There’s now a Facebook page for people who post their sweat checks online. Dr Oz wanted to share a video of people thanking her for inspiring them to “snap back into their fitness.” She was brought to tears hearing how she has inspired other people to get healthy.
She said that’s why she does it, because she knows so many people were watching her. Dr Oz congratulated her and gave her a big hug. Is there someone out there who has inspired you to lose weight? Or are you trying to inspire others? Share your story!
