Juicing is a popular health tactic, and Dr Sanjay Gupta is no exception to this fresh breakfast routine. Gupta likes a good Green Drink, and juicing gives the body’s digestive system a break, offering variety beyond fiber.
After tasting Gupta’s sweet Super Smoothie, Dr Oz gave Sanjay a sample of his own citrusy Green Drink. Vitamin C makes the benefits last longer.
Gupta said he is not against multivitamins and he might use them to recuperate if his diet is off track after traveling. But it’s not easy to reap the benefits of nutrients in a pill when compared to healthy foods. Dr Oz said he worries about people overdoses of multivitamins.

Ingredients

Dr Sanjay Gupta’s health advice for Dr Oz’s audience included daily baby aspirin, his Super Smoothie recipe, and swimming for a great healthy workout.
- 1 cup Strawberries
- 1 cup Ice
- 1 squeeze Honey
- 1 pinch Cinnamon
- 1 cup Blueberries
- 1 cup Soy Milk
Directions
- Combine these ingredients.
- Blend on high for one to two minutes.
Dr Oz: Take a Baby Aspirin Daily
Another of Dr Sanjay Gupta’s health habits is to take a baby aspirin daily. Gupta said that he takes 81 mg Baby Aspirin to reduce his risk of heart disease. Dr Oz has talked about the health benefits of aspirin in the past.
Gupta said he takes his aspirin in the morning, usually with breakfast so he does not have an empty stomach. This is one of the few pills he takes regularly.
Blood vessels in the heart can clot when plaque ruptures. Aspirin is a good way to keep your vessels healthy and plaque strong. Gupta said that simple baby aspirin is an enduring heart health tactic.
Men 35 and over and women 40 and over should take a baby aspirin daily, according to Dr Oz.

Gupta said he taught himself to swim at age 41. Swimming has benefits for your coordination, flexibility, balance, and posture. Since learning to swim by watching YouTube videos from Total Immersion, he has started competing in triathlons. He challenged Oz to join him for a future race.
Dr Oz got Gupta to admit that he swims in Speedos. He said that CNN’s Fit Nation is encouraging people to hit the reset button on life and try something new, like doing a triathlon for the first time.
