Now that he’s revealed his Total 10 Rapid Weight-Loss Plan, Dr Oz has been so excited to share more ways to ensure you’re success while following the diet. For this segment, he wanted to focus on the breakfast part of the plan, which means smoothies.
Dr Oz was joined by Suzie, a busy mother of two who has already lost seven pounds on the plan. She said she always ate what her kids left behind for breakfast, so now it’s exciting that she’s actually eating and enjoying breakfast.

Dr Oz: Total 10 Berry Smoothie Recipe Ingredients
Dr Oz shared the classic berry smoothie, saying it took a year to get it just right. Suzie likes to use strawberries and blueberries for her smoothies. Dr Oz explained that between the almond milk and the protein powder, you’re consuming 10 grams of protein in the morning, which means you’re starting your day off right. He also said they use flaxseed oil in the smoothie rather than flax seeds like they used to because people were complaining about the grainy texture.
- 1 C unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 C frozen berries
- 2 tbsp protein powder (whey protein powder or egg white protein powder)
- 1 tbsp flaxseed oil
- 1/2 C ice

Dr Oz: Total 10 Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Recipe Ingredients
For those who have a hard time with berries or simply want something different, Dr Oz had two other smoothies you could enjoy, the first of which was his pumpkin pie smoothie. Joy has lost 10 pounds on the plan and said after two days she got tired of the berry smoothie, so she switched to the pumpkin pie smoothie. Dr Oz explained that the pumpkin adds fiber as well.
- 2 tbsp protein powder (whey or egg white)
- 1 tbsp flaxseed oil
- 1 C unsweetened coconut milk
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 C pure pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 C ice

Dr Oz: Total 10 Chocolate Covered Almond Smoothie Recipe Ingredients
Finally, Dr Oz said your third option is the chocolate covered almond smoothie. Melanie is a mother to a 10-month-old and has lost 10 pounds on the plan. She said if you’re a frappuccino drinker, this smoothie is the one for you. She said it was like having dessert for breakfast. The almond butter in the smoothie adds another three grams of protein. This smoothie has the most protein out of the three smoothies, but also has the most calories, so it’s a bit of a splurge.
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tbsp protein powder
- 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp flaxseed oil
- 1/2 banana
- 1 C unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2 dates
- 1/2 C ice
