Dr Oz: Rose Water & Cucumber Mint Water Recipes | Essential Oils

Dr Oz: Spa Miracle Potions

If you are planning a Spa Staycation, Dr. Oz had great DIY Treatment Recipes and Pain Remedies Under $10 for the audience.

Dr. Oz continued to explore ways that we can work spa treatments and benefits into our busy schedules. Carol Stratford is the director of spa development at Miraval Resort & Spa, and she agreed that we lead busy lives.

“All of our spa treatments are about creating balance–mind, body, and spirit–and we want our guests to be able to do that at home as well,” Carol said.

Dr Oz: Home Spa

Home spa treatments are easy with versatile products like Essential Oils.

Dr Oz: Clarins Essential Oils Review

Carol said that her team at Miraval uses Clarins Essential Oils, which are plant-derived. They claim to be relaxing, prevent fine lines and blemishes, and can be found in department stores. Carol said she uses this every night.

Clarins Essential Oils sell in department stores for about $50.

Dr Oz: Rose Water Recipe for Irritated Skin

This simple, soothing recipe uses roses, which are rich in antioxidants. This recipe can balance your skin’s natural oils, soothe irritation, and fight sun damage.

You can apply this mixture to your face in the morning and at night using a cotton ball.

Ingredients

1 cup Rose Petals
2 cups Water, boiling

Directions

Add Roses to boiling water, and steep like tea for about 20 minutes.
Strain the mixture and squeeze liquid out of the petals.
Chill and store in the refrigerator for about one week.

Dr Oz: Miraval Signature Drink Recipe

Dr. Oz said he has been to the Miraval Spa and enjoys their signature drink each morning when he is there. Carol called this recipe refreshing.

Ingredients

1 Cucumber
3 Mint Sprigs
½ Lemon
2 quarts Water

Carol said all you have to do is combine these ingredients in a pitcher to enjoy a refreshing, delicious drink. She said they serve this throughout the day to the guests at their spa.

Dr. Oz said he makes a similar drink at home, and they keep it in the front of the refrigerator, so it’ll be the first thing you reach for when you’re thirsty.

Dr Oz: Lavender Essential Oil Insomnia Treatment

There are many types of essential oils, and some of them have different benefits. Lavender can actually fight insomnia, and Carol recommended adding three drops of Lavender Essential Oils to a Humidifier before going to sleep at night. Learn more about Humidifier Benefits.

Are you going to try any of these potions in your own at home spa?

I wanted the water drink with cucumber, lemon juice, basil and mint leaves. I would like the amounts of each ingredient plus the amount of water. Thank you, Elaine
