Dr Oz: Spa Miracle Potions
If you are planning a Spa Staycation, Dr. Oz had great DIY Treatment Recipes and Pain Remedies Under $10 for the audience.
Dr. Oz continued to explore ways that we can work spa treatments and benefits into our busy schedules. Carol Stratford is the director of spa development at Miraval Resort & Spa, and she agreed that we lead busy lives.
“All of our spa treatments are about creating balance–mind, body, and spirit–and we want our guests to be able to do that at home as well,” Carol said.
Dr Oz: Clarins Essential Oils Review
Carol said that her team at Miraval uses Clarins Essential Oils, which are plant-derived. They claim to be relaxing, prevent fine lines and blemishes, and can be found in department stores. Carol said she uses this every night.
Clarins Essential Oils sell in department stores for about $50.
Dr Oz: Rose Water Recipe for Irritated Skin
This simple, soothing recipe uses roses, which are rich in antioxidants. This recipe can balance your skin’s natural oils, soothe irritation, and fight sun damage.
You can apply this mixture to your face in the morning and at night using a cotton ball.
Ingredients
1 cup Rose Petals
2 cups Water, boiling
Directions
Add Roses to boiling water, and steep like tea for about 20 minutes.
Strain the mixture and squeeze liquid out of the petals.
Chill and store in the refrigerator for about one week.
Dr Oz: Miraval Signature Drink Recipe
Dr. Oz said he has been to the Miraval Spa and enjoys their signature drink each morning when he is there. Carol called this recipe refreshing.
Ingredients
1 Cucumber
3 Mint Sprigs
½ Lemon
2 quarts Water
Carol said all you have to do is combine these ingredients in a pitcher to enjoy a refreshing, delicious drink. She said they serve this throughout the day to the guests at their spa.
Dr. Oz said he makes a similar drink at home, and they keep it in the front of the refrigerator, so it’ll be the first thing you reach for when you’re thirsty.
Dr Oz: Lavender Essential Oil Insomnia Treatment
There are many types of essential oils, and some of them have different benefits. Lavender can actually fight insomnia, and Carol recommended adding three drops of Lavender Essential Oils to a Humidifier before going to sleep at night. Learn more about Humidifier Benefits.

On your show dated August 16/12 there was a recipe for the cucumber n lemon drink …But I was interested on the same show about what to rub on callouses..I have a callous on each of my big toe on the side and I keep going to the salon get it trim but it returns every second/ third day so I file em myself every other day…On your show I caught a glimpse of what to use like soak in tea or something then rub with this kinda cream daily…Dr OZ could you please send this to me ” What to do ” HELP…” Thank -you so kindly..Jeannine…I love watching your show very very interesting comments, ideas and helpful…
