Dr. Oz: Five Minute Healthy Meal
Dr. Oz took the cast of The Chew over to his little table which usually holds some kind of organs or some other kind of gross body part, but this time he had some food items under the cloth. Dr. Oz told Michael Symon he knows he likes bacon a lot, but he wanted him to make a healthy and quick meal with the five items under five minutes. The five food items he had laid out were a piece of salmon, some baby kale, a cup of greek yogurt, almonds and a large grapefruit.
Dr Oz: Michael Symon Salmon Recipe
Since there was no recipe on the show, here is my best attempt at making a recipe.
- Baby Kale
- Greek Yogurt
- Heat up a pan with a small amount of olive oil. Season salmon with salt and pepper and place skin side down in the oil.
- While salmon is cooking, juice the grapefruit and add a small amount of the juice to the kale. The rest of the juice add to a small bowl with the greek yogurt and crushed up almonds. Mix together to form the salad dressing.
- Next add water to the pan holding the salmon and cover. This will steam the salmon and cook it quickly, since the bottom should be nice and crunchy when the salmon is done steaming.
- After salmon steams for about 2 minutes, it should be done. Place on plate with baby kale and mix the salad dressing on top. Eat.
Dr. Oz: Interactive Dr. Oz Website
Dr. Oz said he is going to try to make the website more interactive by asking people to go on every day and let him know how they feel. He wants you to tell him when you are happy and excited and when you are sad and depressed. He said it would be a true Dr. Oz Show community builder.
Dr Oz: How Are You Feeling Today?
He asked two women from the audience to help him start it. The first said she was depressed because she found a grey hair that morning, while the other woman said she was excited because she recently gave birth to a baby.
