Dr Oz was then joined by Erin Robinson and Joslyn Davis from Clevver. They believe avocado toast has become such a popular food, especially virally, because it’s such a visual food. Plus there’s a lot of textures and it’s colorful, which people resonate with. Joslyn was even wearing an “avocado toast” sweatshirt! She shared that for her, if there’s a food that’s healthy, tastes good, and fills her up, she’s all about it.

Dr Oz: Smashed Avocado Toast With Heirloom Tomatoes & Poached Egg

The first avocado toast Erin and Joslyn wanted to share was a version that looks just as good as it tastes. They used wheat toast topped with smashed avocado and heirloom tomatoes. Then it’s topped with a poached egg and shaved basil. It’s no surprise this recipe went viral because it contained the three c’s: color, composition, and caption. Erin claims if you include all those in each social media post, you’re going to get a lot of likes!

Dr Oz: Dessert Avocado Toast Recipe

As a way to enjoy avocado for dessert, try wheat toast with sliced avocado, peaches, ricotta, honey, and pomegranate.

Next, Erin and Joslyn shared a recipe that they called the most gourmet of all avocado toasts. Avocado toast may be known as a breakfast dish but it can be made into a luxurious and flavorful snack, lunch, or even dinner treat. It was their Sesame and Miso Avocado Toast and you can find the incredibly recipe on the next page…
