Dr Oz: Light Therapy Mask
Dr Oz wanted to talk about health products trending all over social media and to aid in the discussion, he welcomed Yvette Nicole Brown. Yvette said she’s kind-of a product junky because she’s very gullible. Dr Oz wanted her opinion on three different products. First, they looked at a light therapy mask that can supposedly clear skin and kill bacteria. It also can reduce inflammation and acne spots. Yvette said she would do it for 15 minutes a day.
As for whether it’s a “trend or end,” Dr Oz said “anything that looks this awkward has to work.” He said it’s proven that light therapy does actually work for acne.
Dr Oz: Fruit & Vegetable Corer
They then looked at various fruit corers. They went as fast as they could to try to core as many fruits and vegetables as possible. They agreed that they were a trend, and after showing off how easily they removed the cores from their fruits, I would have to agree with them. They were even easily able to core a pineapple to make it ready to eat within seconds. I think I need to get one of those!
Dr Oz: Suction Lip Enhancers
Dr Oz shared that there have been many YouTube tutorials for this next trend, including one that has gotten millions of views. He showed a video of a girl suctioning her lips inside a cup to try to make them look bigger. There are actually little cup-looking things called lip enhancers, and one of Dr Oz’s producers explained that you want to moisten your lips a little bit and then put the cup to your lips and suction them to make them look bigger.
Yvette said, “Black people don’t need anything to make them look bigger!” Yvette and Dr Oz most certainly looked absolutely ridiculous trying them out. Lip enhancers are certainly a no for Dr Oz!
Dr Oz then shared a cute clip from Yvette’s new movie Yellowbird, out now on DVD. Would you try any of these trends? Have you already tried them?
