Dr Oz: Who’s Memory Is Better, Men Or Women?
Dr Oz asked the question, are women’s memories better than men’s? Dr Oz tested one couple to see who had the better memory. Before the show, he asked the woman a series of questions and she wrote down the answers on cards. Then, during the segment, Dr Oz asked her husband of ten years, Bobby, the same questions, to see if he could correctly remember the answer.
Dr Oz first asked Bobby where he and his wife went on their first date. He correctly answered TGI Friday’s, because she wrote down Monmouth Mall, explaining that they ate at the Friday’s inside the mall. Next, what was the first present his wife got him for his birthday? The correct answer was a surprise party, but he guessed a shirt. Not even close! The woman didn’t seem to be too surprised that her husband didn’t exactly guess the questions correctly, but hey, at least he was half right!

Dr Oz: Memory After Age 30
Dr Oz was then joined by Bobby and Laura, wanting to talk about exactly what was going on. He explained that after the age of thirty, our brains begin to shrink down, and the couple joked “how did you know we were over thirty?” In men, the area of the brain where memory is stored, shrinks much faster after 40, than in women. Estrogen protects the brain, and men have less of it. If you get out and get active, you can reduce your memory loss. Laura turned to her husband and said “that explains it!”
