Dr Oz: Develop A Nighttime Routine
With tips from Tim Ferriss on how to get more energy and make your energy last longer through the day, Dr Oz was hoping the “4-hour guru” could then share some tips for how to achieve a better night’s rest. He explained that there is no magic number for the hours of sleep you should get each night because it varies from person to person. Tim first recommended that you prioritize sleep. Just like the morning, routine is best as you prepare for a night’s rest.

Thirty minutes before bed, play an electronic puzzle game because it does something called “visual override.” Essentially, it can help override any thoughts that may otherwise keep you awake.
Then, 20 minutes before bed, decompress your spine. You can have someone gently pull on your legs while you lie flat on your back with your legs relaxed. If you’re by yourself, try the pigeon yoga pose to stretch your hips.
Dr Oz: Cool Down & Block Out Noise
Finally, five minutes before bed, try putting a cooling gel mattress pad under your sheet. Changing the temperature at which you sleep can be a total game changer! Instead of ear plugs, try putting ear putty in both ears because it can be more comfortable and help block noise for better sleep.
