Dr Oz: Household Items as Cleaners
Stop spending money on expensive specialty cleaning products when you may already have stuff in your house that will do the job well! Dr Oz shared how you can repurpose some typical household supplies for cleaning copper, silver, lanudry, and your glasses.
Dr Oz: Catsup Copper Cleaner

Dr Oz shared what you have around the house that could do double duty as a cleaning product, from Club Soda for stains to vodka for cleaning your glasses!
Catsup goes great with French fries, but it contains two ingredients that make it ideal for cleaning: vinegar and salt.
Dr Oz had a North Carolina fan bring in her old, tarnished copper pot. After just a couple minutes of sitting on the material, the catsup was able to take off a surprising amount of the tarnish. I wonder how clean it would look if you kept going!
All you have to do is apply the Catsup to your copper and let it stand for a few minutes before rubbing it away with a towel and taking the tarnish off with it.
Dr Oz: Club Soda Stain Remover
Club Soda is a nurse’s best friend when it comes to removing Blood Stains. I would not be surprised if it used regularly by medical professionals.
To get this to work, let the clothing item soak in Club Soda for half an hour before washing it. That will give the citric acid time to work its magic.
What’s more, Club Soda can also remove stains left behind by Coffee, Tea, and even Wine. Now you won’t have to let go of a favorite shirt because you spilled something!
Dr Oz: Toothpaste Silver Cleaner
Toothpaste does a great job of keeping our teeth clean, but did you know it can also work on jewelry? Dr Oz showed how you can use it on a silver necklace. Just apply it to the jewelry and leave it alone for a couple minutes.
Hydrogen peroxide helps to remove the tarnish, and then you can just soak the silver in water to get it completely clean and good as new!
Dr Oz: Vodka Glasses Cleaner
If you wear glasses, you know that it can be frustrating trying to keep them clean all day long. But Dr Oz showed a method that could have you seeing more clearly than ever. All you need to keep those spectacles clean is a little vodka.
Just put a small amount of vodka onto a gentle towel and clean your lenses (or probably any glass surface) with easy. It will shine and you will think your vision got much better!
Dr Oz: Best Health Signs
Dr Oz borrowed one of Ellen’s tricks to share some hilarious signs spotted in public.
- A zoo warned its guests not to climb on fences, lest the animals eat them and become sick.
- A bar advised that an apple a day can keep anyone away, provided that you throw it hard enough.
- Another business (probably a bar) warned not to throw cigarette butts on the floor, or the cockroaches could get cancer.
- A gym advertised that it’s not safe to go back to the beach without getting in shape for your swimsuit.
