Dr Oz: Hand Massage Benefits
After learning that Handwriting & Body Language hold keys to your health, would you be surprised to learn that the palm of your hand can also reveal hidden secrets about you? Deborah Flanagan visited Dr Oz to talk about five ways your hand affects your overall health.
Dr Oz: Golf Ball Hand Massage
Amy in the audience told Dr. Oz she has constipation, bloating, and digestive issues. Deborah said that the solution to this issue can fit in the palm of your hand. It’s a golf ball, and all you have to do put your fingers together and roll the ball around in the area between your palms.
For patients with digestive problems, you will probably feel a crunching, as Amy did. Deborah said you can do this throughout the day for a few weeks for best results.
Dr Oz: Pituitary Reflux Remedy
Nicole complained to Doctor Oz about her exhaustion, complaining that insomnia keeps her up all night, and then she falls asleep in the middle of the day.
The remedy for this is your fingernail. Use the nail of one thumb to dig into your opposite thumb, like a needle. Doing this first thing in the morning can help fight exhaustion.
Dr Oz: Finger Rub Sinus Remedy
Someone else in the audience complained of year-round cold symptoms, and Deborah had another solution at hand for this.
She said fingers are reflexes for our head and sinuses. You can rub your fingers against each other, she claims, to improve your breathing. I guess it can’t hurt to try, though I have to say I’m skeptical. Deborah suggested doing this a few times on each hand twice during the day.
Dr Oz: Thumb Massage Cures Back Pain
Denise complained of upper back pain, saying that stretching or taking over the counter medicine hasn’t given her lasting results.
Deborah said you can take a finger and gently massage all the way down your thumb to improve back pain symptoms. She suggested making three to four passes down your thumb, three times throughout the day.
Doctor Oz: Palm Massage
Another woman said that between her busy job and Zumba exercise classes, she is too tired when she gets home. She wanted tips to get interested in intimacy with her husband.
Deborah said we have reproductive reflexes in the sides of the wrist. You can try making a bracelet around your wrist with one hand, twisting it back and forth, then switching hands. She suggested trying this two or three times during the day.
Let me know if any of these remedies work for you. They sound a little out there, but you never know.
