Dr Oz: It Works! System Review
With the help of Jenna Wolfe and nutritionist Maya Feller, Dr Oz was learning more about three of the most popular diets promoted on social media. They first discussed Isagenix before moving on to talk about 21 Day Fix. Lastly, they took a closer look at the It Works! system which retails for $245 or $147 for loyal customers, or people who subscribe. The claim is “Wrap. Remove. Reboot.” They have a cleanse and a supplement, but their big selling point is their wrap.
You pick a problem area and wrap that area for 45 minutes to a few hours and supposedly see the benefits of the gel that’s on the inside of the wrap. You use the wrap every three days, but can it really help you tone and tighten?
Dr Oz: Do It Works System Wraps Really Work?
A woman in the audience had been wearing the wrap for 45 minutes to see how well it would work. She put the wrap around her midsection and then wrapped it up with Saran Wrap. Dr Oz looked into the science behind it and said “there’s none.” However, he was intrigued by the idea that the way the wrap makes you feel, may actually change the way you treat yourself.

Nutritionally, Maya agreed there was no science behind the wrap, saying you can’t effect visceral fat by wrapping yourself up. As for the supplements, they’re just that. She stated that if you did the wrap and the supplements alone, she’s not 100% sure you would actually lose weight. “You might benefit from having a little bit more nutritional guidance,” Maya stated.
Jenna quickly pointed out there certainly seems to be a placebo effect to all the products, in that they change your mindset and you may actually feel like they’re making a difference, even if they’re not. Dr Oz considered it more a boost, and said it’s good for someone who’s already self-disciplined and knows how to maintain a healthy diet. It’s also important to be okay spending some money for these products, but of course, you should talk to your doctor first.
