Dr Oz explained that according to research, those who indulge in the real thing usually weigh less than those who consume low-fat or skim dairy products.

Dr Oz spoke to a couple who can’t seem to agree on full-fat versus low-fat. They end up having to buy both for their house so Dr Oz wanted to show them why full-fat is the way to go. He used a visual to aid to show the difference between skim and full-fat milk. He showed how milk that has settled has cream that rises to the top. If that cream is removed, you’re left with a watery substance.

Skim milk is digested quickly while full fat milk is digested slower, keeping your stomach fuller for longer. Plus, when you take the cream out of milk, you’re left with a lot of sugar. Full fat milk is not only better for you, but it tastes better.

Dr Oz asked the woman who was used to consuming low-fat dairy, to spend the week munching on full-fat dairy products. She kept a dairy diary and said she realized how much she was missing. She claims life was so much better because the food was so much more delicious.
When Robin was eating skim dairy products, she was consuming about 1625 calories. When she consumed full-fat dairy, she consumed an average of 1262 calories per day. That’s 363 less calories! Dr Oz believes we should all consume dairy the way it was meant to be consumed.
