Dr Oz G-Free Diet: How To Go Gluten Free Without Gaining Weight

Dr. Oz: No More Gluten

Did you take the Dr Oz Gluten Test? He said even having one of those symptoms would be a good reason to consult a doctor and ask them about gluten sensitivity. Or going on a gluten free diet for two to three weeks would also be a smart idea.

But Dr. Oz also said if you are not a person who has a gluten sensitivity then there is no reason to avoid the gluten. It can only be dangerous to people who have the symptoms or who know they have a gluten sensitivity.

Dr. Oz: Gluten Free Diet

Dr. Barnard showed Dr. Oz, the viewers and the audience just what you need to eat to be on a healthy gluten free diet. He also cautioned that not doing a gluten free diet the right way may make some people gain weight.

Dr. Oz and Dr. Barnard outline the best foods to eat for a gluten free diet.

Dr. Barnard said the main rule of them is to stay away from wheat, barley and rye. Those are products that contain gluten.

He also said to make it even simpler to find out what has gluten in it, eat single items. Instead of having to scour a box to see if you can identify the gluten, just eating vegetables will be a surefire way to know there is not gluten.

His list of gluten free diet foods included meat, some dairy products, vegetables like broccoli, wine (not a food, but you cant drink beer on this diet) and fish.

Dr Oz: Gluten-Free Products – Don’t Buy In

Dr. Oz cautioned away from eating products at the store which say they are gluten free because many of the products have added salt and less protein, which does not make it a healthy alternative. He also said to see a physician if you have any of the symptoms and try to get refered to a gastrologist.

Do you think you have a gluten sensitivity? If so, what is it like and are you going to try a gluten free diet? Anyone else just trying the diet, just to try it? Let me know in the comment section below.

About Corey Gibson

After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Journalism and Anthropology, I managed a pizza place for a year, while freelancing for various newspapers in the area. Working every weekend in sauna like conditions, never being able to take a day off and being covered in flour is something I will not miss. I hope Recapo has air conditioning.
