Dr Oz: Beyonce’s 22-Day Revolution
What if you could have a body like Beyonce? Dr Oz claimed it’s possible, and welcomed the man whom Beyonce says changed her life: Marco Borges. He’s the author of The 22-Day Revolution and he claims that you can transform your health just like his celebrity clients. Marco can help you stop overeating, exercise more frequently, quit smoking, and lose weight. In just 22 days, women lost an average of 12 pounds and at least one dress size. The ultimate goal is a healthy lifestyle beyond the 22 days.
Marco joined Dr Oz and shared that he and Beyonce both love food, people, and life. Marco explained that the plan isn’t about deprivation, and it’s not a diet. He said you’re going to eat more food than you ever had, and you’re going to eat food that you love, except this time it’s going to love you back.

Marco shared that after the 22 days, people feel great, so the plan is for anyone who wants to have increased energy, lose weight, and get clearer skin. He said weight loss is a benefit of the benefit. He said in 21 days you’re going to create a new habit so that on the 22nd day you’re armed with the tools to life a healthy lifestyle for years to come.
The plan is a plant-based one, and Marco said you should pick your proteins from the garden. Marco explained that you can actually get protein from beans, almonds, spinach, and grains, and the average American diet contains twice the amount of protein that we should be eating. Beyonce’s favorite is pecans, which are great for reducing your risk factor for breast cancer. Beans are also great because they keep you full. Marco said 10% of the calories of your diet should be coming from protein.
Dr Oz: What Are Power Foods?
Another part of the plan is to have a power food at every meal. Power foods are foods that are satiating and nutrient-dense. Some examples of power foods include antioxidant rich dark chocolate, cashews, and pumpkin seeds.
Juanita had been following Marco’s plan and shared that before she ate a lot of meat and dairy and would enjoy pizza. Her go-to power foods were pumpkin seeds and dark chocolate. She said she eats a salad every day and sprinkles pumpkin seeds on tops.
Dr Oz: 80-10-10 Rule
Next, you have to follow the 80-10-10 rule. Marco said in the past, carbohydrates have been made out to the be the bad guys, but with his plan, 80% of your diet should be carbohydrates, 10% should be protein, and 10% should be fat. He explained that a carbohydrate-rich diet contains a lot of fiber, whereas the typical American diet only contains 50% of the recommended amounts of fiber.
Marco explained that carbohydrates should be nutrient-dense, natural, plant-based foods.
Dr Oz: 22-Day Revolution Food
The good news is that you can make some delicious food that follows the rule, and Marco shared that he created a gluten-free pizza using a gluten-free pizza crust made out of almond flour, rice flour, and tapioca flower. The cheese on the pizza was cashew cheese and he added avocado and cherry tomatoes. He also raved about his raw walnut tacos, saying you would swear that it was real meat. He explained that it was a combination of nuts ground together into a food processor, drizzled with coconut aminos, and sprinkled with cumin and coriander.
Third, Beyonce really enjoys chocolate chip gluten-free muffins made with dark chocolate. He said you’ll actually eat more on this plan than you’ve ever eaten before.
Dr Oz: Exercise 30 Minutes A Day
Dr Oz then explained that the plan calls for you to move for 30 minutes each day. Marco said it’s important to remember that exercise doesn’t dictate weight loss. He said it’s all about what you put in your body. He found that the best thing to do is to get your body going for at least 30 minutes a day every day of the week.
He showed the burpee exercise, which is a great full-body workout. Just drop down to the ground and kick your feet out behind you. Then drop down and do a push-up before bringing your feet back toward your hands and jumping back up again. You can also do “lunges around the world,” where you step into lunges, creating a circle with your steps.
Another exercise is an around the world push-up . Do a push-up, and then walk with your hands to the side before doing another push-up, spinning your body in a circle without leaving the push-up position. Marco said you have to have fun or else you’re not going to want to do it.
Would you follow this plan now that you know the details of it and have seen what it did for Beyonce?
