Dr Oz: Vitamin D Chlorophyll Cocktail & Super Energy Smoothie Recipe

Montel Williams: Fountain of Youth

For centuries, society has searched for the magic bullet that can keep people young and in great health. Does the fountain of youth exist, or is it just a fantasy? That’s the question Dr Oz posed to Montel Williams, who said he believed he has found the secrets to feeling and appearing younger while aging with grace. Check out his Super Energy Smoothie Recipe and find out why he loves Three Root Tea.

Montel Williams is a familiar face for fans of daytime TV. His hugely popular TV talk show was a staple of 1990s talk. But for the last 10 years, he has been fighting a health battle off camera, struggling with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). On a previous show, he discussed Assisted Suicide with Dr Oz. Today, Montel said he has the energy of someone half his age, despite managing what is often a debilitating disease.

Dr Oz: How To Boost Energy

How do you build up your energy levels? Montel said you have to work toward your goals each day. He said he has been working for about four years to get where he wants to be, and has really intensified his efforts in the last eight months. He works out to keep his body in shape, which also gives him peace of mind. Diet and medication are also part of his health plan.

Montel Williams is now 55 years old, and he said he looks and feels good even without makeup. A turning point that stuck in his mind was when a doctor told him to expect to wind up in a wheelchair. He wanted to prove that doctor wrong, and he refused to give in to this news. His advice is to never give up, no matter how grim the situation may look. Keep living for yourself and do the work. Montel decided he would rather focus his energy on living instead of dying.

Dr Oz: Montel’s Energy Plan

How do you get a head start on following your own health goals, as Montel Williams has done? It’s funny you should ask, because Dr Oz and Montel have put together a plan that can work for someone at any age, no matter how your health is. See whether this sounds doable for you.

Montel Williams: Super Energy Smoothie Recipe

Super Energy Smoothie Recipe: Dr Oz

Dr Oz got a Super Energy Smoothie Recipe and energy boosting plan from Montel Williams.

Montel said he got the idea for this recipe from Dr Oz a few years ago, when the doctor said on his show that Watermelon is great for male virility.

Ingredients

  • 2 pints Watermelon
  • 2 pints Pineapple
  • 2 quarts Coconut Water
  • Frozen Blueberries
  • Baby Spinach
  • 2 Bananas or Green Apples

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a juicer or blender.
  2. This recipe makes several 16 ounce servings.

What you do with the excess is up to you. You can share with family or friends, or freeze the extra for later use.

Dr Oz: Vitamin D Chlorophyll Cocktail

That smoothie might be a great start to your morning, but by midday most of us are ready for a shot in the arm. Montel shared what he called the ultimate superfood, which combines Vitamin D and Chlorophyll. Chlorophyll can actually change the contents of your intestines.

Do you want to try this out for yourself? Mix 1000 IU of Vitamin D with between 100-300 mg Chlorophyll per day. Look for both at your favorite health food store.

Dr Oz: B12 Mega Injection

Dr Oz said that his wife has encouraged him to take B12 injections, but so far he has been resistant. Montel said that prices are variable, but on average it comes out to just over $40 for a one month dose.

On the show, Dr Oz gave Montel a B12 injection in his stomach. But Oz said he prefers to get B12 in lozenge form, and he recommended a combination of Folic Acid, B6 and B12.

Dr Oz: Three Root Tea

Three Root Tea is a new supplement product that has not been through much testing in humans. But a key ingredient, Rhodiola, has been shown to increase the lifespan of fruit flies.

Try combining Ashwagandha, Schisandra and Rhodiola for stress relief. Dr Oz tried this Three Root Tea and called it “tolerable,” which of course means “awful.” But Montel said it has improved his limp, so I guess that might be worth choking it down.

Dr Oz: Garlic Infusion Spice

Crush Garlic and use it to flavor favorite meals such as fish or chili. It’s also great in Chicken Soup. Montel said he likes to eat about 10 cloves of Garlic every day, which has many proven health benefits.
