Dr Oz: Tap Water Lead Content & Energy Drinks Vs Soda Tooth Enamel

Dr Oz: Beauty & Aging Mistakes

Are you doing things every day out of habit that are actually taking years off your life? Dr Oz said you could be making choices every day that are having a cost on your health, but learning what they are means you can avoid them. Learn about tap water lead content and the cost of energy drinks.

Dr Oz: Hot & Warm Tap Water Lead Content

Dr Oz: Tap Water Lead Content & Energy Drinks Vs Soda Tooth Enamel

Dr Oz explained what you can do to reduce your home’s tap water lead content for cooking and drinking. What’s worse for tooth enamel: energy drinks or soda?

When you turn on the tap to get some water, do you think about what temperature it is? Doctor Oz said it’s very important to make sure you are drinking cold tap water only. That’s because of the high tap water lead content.

Did you know that warm or hot water has been found to have higher lead levels from the pipes that water travels to get to your sink? Dr Oz’s best advice for avoiding this problem is to make sure you run the cold tap water for at least a minute if the water has been turned off for six hours or more.

Using cold water for cooking, making tea, or drinking will help you get the lowest possible amount of lead in your water.

Dr Oz: Energy Drinks Vs Soda Tooth Enamel

Dr Oz has had a lot to say about energy drinks in the last year. He shared energy drink recommendations, but also cautioned about energy drink dangers. Now there’s another factor to consider.

Drinking about eight cans of soda could be eroding the enamel on your teeth. But did you know that a single energy drink can have the same damaging effects? The best solution for this problem is to use a straw when having an energy drink, so you can avoid the drink touching your teeth and causing lasting damage.

Dr Oz: Texting Hunchback Warning

How many text messages do you send and receive in a given day? The more you text, the wore it could be for your health. That’s because you’ll always be hunched over from looking down at your phone. Texting too much could make you a hunchback.

To fix this aging problem, hold your phone higher up and closer to your eye level when sending or reading messages. That’ll keep you from straining your shoulders, neck, and head. You also don’t want to get Text Neck, which is now a medical condition caused by this behavior.
