Dr. Oz: Protein Shakes, Flaxseed & Olive Oil
Dr. Oz gives out a lot of information each day and a lot of people are having a hard time digesting all the information or even knowing what to do with all of it.
Daryl said she loves watching Dr. Oz and takes all of his advice about everything. But sometimes she doesn’t even know what to do with all the information. Daryl said she has protein shakes, flaxseeds, olive oil and avocados and more Greek yogurt than she knows what to do with.
How Many Supplements Should I Take?
Daryl said she feels healthy enough but is also super confused. She said her friend even had to make her an Excel spreadsheet to help her figure out what she is taking and when. Dr. Oz said everything he talks about on the show is not for everyone. He said he addresses certain issues each day and some may not be relevant to some people in the audience.
Daryl told Dr. Oz she takes multivitamins, fish oils, probiotics and vitamin D. And she didn’t even know why she was taking the probiotic. Dr. Oz told her it is good for her digestive system.
Dr. Oz: Multivitamins, Calcium & Magnesium
Dr. Oz’s rule of thumb for supplements was to take no more than five supplements each day unless told to by a doctor. His basic list of supplements everyone should take included:
- low dosage of multivitamins taken half in the morning and half at night
- Omega-3 fats. The bottle should say 600 mg DHA.
- 600 mg of Calcium
- 400 mg Magnesium.
Dr. Oz said to not take the Magnesium with the multivitamin because it will bind to the multivitamin and it will not work.
I know this is only four, but it is what Dr. Oz said.
What are you going to fill the final slot with? It seems to me that four should be enough. Let me know what else you would take in comment box below. Maybe something for the skin or hair?
