Dr Oz: Citrus Infuser Review & Brain Benefits
Sharpen your mental power on the second day of Dr Oz’s plan. Heidi said that flavonoids can make the brain more efficient. Citrus can help to reduce stress hormones as well, freeing up more energy.
Spread citrus throughout the day, from grapefruit at breakfast to lemon vinaigrette on your lunch salad, or enjoy a lime salsa with fish at dinner.
Heidi also showed Dr Oz a Citrus Infuser, which can help to naturally flavor water for you all day long as you stay hydrated, refreshed, and energized.
Dr Oz: Magnesium from Flaxseeds
Open up your airways for day three. Heidi said that exercise is very good for the lungs, and you can also boost them with Magnesium from Flaxseeds, Beans, and Spinach. Make sure you are getting two tablespoons per day. Add flaxseeds to a smoothie or put them in your yogurt.
Dr Oz: Dandelion Coffee Recipe
Tim Ferriss shared advice on how to detoxify your liver. The author of The 4-Hour Body suggested drinking Dandelion Coffee instead of your typical morning brew. Take one to two tablespoons of crushed dandelion or 1 tbsp Dandelion Powder and put them in a coffee filter. Brew this for an instant Dandelion Coffee recipe. Audience members gave it a thumbs up in Dr Oz’s taste test.
Dr Oz: Meat Protein Iron Content
Boost your blood and improve your body’s iron content, while avoiding anemia. Dr Bhatia said you can absorb iron best from meat, fish, or poultry. Try adding more of these proteins into your daily diet for an iron boost. A serving size can be as small as half the palm of your hand.
Dr Oz: Coconut Oil Cooking & Beauty
Bring back your glow for day six. Dr Jeanine Downie suggested to Dr Oz that we use Coconut Oil as a natural solution that can moisturize and protect. Use two tablespoons a day (cook with 1 tbsp in place of olive oil, and apply the other tablespoon to your skin as a natural moisturizer.
Dr Oz: Epsom Salt Baking Soda Bath
Relax and rejuvenate your heart with a bath to unwind. Dr Oz advised that you can reduce tension and absorb magnesium through the skin. Soak in a bath with one cup of Epsom Salt and one cup of Baking Soda, about half an hour before you head to bed. You will be relaxed and ready for sleep.
The citrus infuser you link to is not the one demo’d in the actual show segment — i.e., one that actually squeezes the juice from the fruit when you tighten the cap. I have thus far been totally unsuccessful in finding that particular item. Any idea who the mfr is or where I might find out??
I’m not sure what brand it was, unfortunately. I have not been able to track it down either, but if you do find it, I’d love to share it with everyone.
