Dr Oz: Tea Ball Metabolism-Boosting Brew Recipe
Danny Seo told Dr. Oz he has a great trick to transform your tea ball infuser into a metabolism-boosting brewing machine.
Dr Oz Metabolism-Boosting Brew Ingredients:
- 6 cups vegetable broth
- A 4 inch cinnamon stick
- 3 tablespoons mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 1 capsaicin, dried
Dr Oz Metabolism-Boosting Brew Directions:
- Add all ingredients except the vegetable broth to your tea ball infuser.
- Place the tea ball infuser into a large pot filled with broth and allow it to brew just as you would a cup of tea.
Dr Oz: Kitchen Gadget To Make Healthy Chips
Danny Seo said he loves snacking on potato chips, but since they are not healthy for him he loves using his healthy chip maker. He can make all the healthy chips he wants right in the comfort of his own home.
- Use a mandolin to slice your favorite vegetables, like potatoes and beets.
- Blot dry on a paper towel
- Place on the healthy chip maker and cook in the microwave for three to four minutes.
Dr Oz: Crease In the Earlobe a Sign Of Heart Disease
Dr. Oz told his audience most heart attacks happen within the first three hours of waking up in the morning, so the next place he wanted to help everyone get in order was the bathroom, especially the medicine cabinet.
Make Up Mirror: Dr. Oz said there are four clues you may have heart disease. They include a crease in the earlobe, a receding hairline at the temple, a receding hairline on the back of the head and yellow deposits around the eyes. If you have three to four of these signs, you are 57 percent more likely to have a heart attack.
Vitamin D Supplement: Take 1,000 IU per day. Dr. Oz said new research has shown vitamin D helps lower your risk for a heart attack.
Aspirin: If you think you are having a heart attack, Dr. Oz said chew 325 mg of aspirin right away. He said by chewing the aspirin you get it into your bloodstream more quickly which thins your blood faster and slows down the heart attack.
Wall Phone in the Bathroom: Dr. Oz said it is the best idea to have a phone in the bathroom. If you head in to get aspirin you might not have the strength to leave and if you forgot your phone, it could be bad news.
Dr Oz: Animals and Humans Make Crazy Noises
