60 Minutes: Recruiting for ISIS
Imagine believing in something so passionately that it would mean giving up your friends and family. Clarissa Ward is learning about the deeply rooted beliefs of those who are recruited to radical Islam and are joining the cause of ISIS.
One of the subjects is Abu Rumaysah, who says that he cannot love anyone who is not Muslim, including his own mother. You will also hear about Muslim Patrols and discover the leadership of a radical Islamic preacher who has connected with many followers and is an advocate for Sharia Law. 60 Minutes: Mark Owen Under Fire
Previously on 60 Minutes, former Navy SEAL Mark Owen told the story of what it was like to be a part of the team who took down Osama Bin Laden. He used this pseudonym to share his story on TV and in a book, No Easy Day.
Now he tells Scott Pelley that the government is coming after him on more than one front. Though his lawyer told him he did not have to run the contents of his book by the military before publication, now the government is after his profits from the book and is the target of a criminal investigation. 60 Minutes: Blake Shelton
In a 60 Minutes profile, Norah O’Donnell will speak to country music star Blake Shelton. His wife, Miranda Lambert, is also a huge presence in that world. Shelton’s popularity has continued to grow during his tenure as a coach on the NBC music competition series The Voice.
