Tonight Show: Meredith Vieira New Daytime Talk Show
Meredith Viera, the original moderator on The View for nine years, may be coming back to daytime talk shows with her own show soon. The New York Times recently reported that Vieira could be showing up on a new daytime talk show during the 11 a.m. slot, directly opposite The View, during the 2014-2015 season. The speculation came after Vieira announced she would stop hosting Who Wants to be a Millionaire? because she had other opportunities to pursue.
The recent news has brought both skeptics of the show and hopefuls for the new show. Skeptics are citing an interview Vieira did with Good Housekeeping when she told them working on the Today Show had taken a toll on her personal life. With her husband, Richard Cohen, suffering from multiple sclerosis, Vieira has always said his health will come first and it will always be a big factor in what she chooses to pursue in life.
But hopefuls were pointing out the on air chemistry between Hoda Kotb and Vieira when she filled in for Kathie Lee Gifford. Her comedic disdain and apprehensive behavior to the topics on the show can best be quoted when she told Hoda she was only having a “good” time hosting the show. Even if she doesn’t always seem to be having the best time on the show, everyone seems to love the Vieira/Hoda tag team.

Tonight Show: Meredith Vieira Sheds Spanx At Awards Dinner
As apt as she might be for hosting her own morning talk show, Vieira should also look into comedy as a possible career route. While hosting the 10th Annual Woman’s Day Red Dress Awards, Vieira told the crowd she was wearing Spanx and she couldn’t wait to take the uncomfortable undergarment off.
When she returned to the stage later in the night, she revealed to the crowd that she had indeed taken some time backstage to get the garment off her and she was feeling much better without it on.
