Tonight Show: Bill O’Reilly Calls Transgender Equality Madness
Bill O’Reilly may have backed himself into another corner when he called transgender equality “madness” on his show this past Tuesday. The topic came up when he was responding to Massachusetts’ new guidelines for teachers on how to handle issues that arise when dealing with transgender students. The new guidelines outline how teachers should handle bathroom issues, sports teams issues and a slew of other issues that could arise any given day.
While many experts have come out saying the guidelines have been helpful to parents and teachers alike, O’Reilly said on his show he thinks the new guidelines will obstruct parents’ rights because it asks teachers not to confront a student’s parents because they may not have come out yet and there could be safety concerns at home.
He was quoted as saying, “This is truly madness, ladies and gentlemen. You’re telling me that a kid can go to a public school in Massachusetts, immediately upon entering the school take off the kid’s shirt and put on a dress, alright, go to the girls’ room when he’s a boy, and then change his name from John to Tiffany, and then after school, put the shirt back on, go home, and he’s still John.”
Tonight Show: Bill O’Reilly Killing Jesus Review
Bill O’Reilly is working on his third “killing” book, the other two having to do with Lincoln and Kennedy, and it is set to hit stores sometime soon in 2013.
The book, written along with Martin Dugard, is about how Jesus was killed according to Bill O’Reilly. He called many of the facts in the Bible allegorical and said many of the writings between Luke, John, Matthew and Mark contradicted each other and it is his job to dig through the contradictions and find out the truth. Even though he has mentioned his new book Killing Jesus numerous times on his show, he has been tightlipped about what he has uncovered and has not told anyone what contradicting facts he has found in the Bible.
