Today Show: Beauty Skin Care Secrets For Spring
The Today Show had plenty of beauty skincare secrets for us April 29 2013. We’re all trying to look great for the warmer weather, so this came just in time. It turns out that sleep is terribly important. At least seven hours of sleep are necessary to help your skin stay hydrated, your hormones stay level and acne to stay far away from your face. It’s also important to sleep in the dark with a sleep mask.
The Importance Of Sunscreen
Sunscreen is very, very important. SPF 30 or better is recommended by dermatologists, January through December, regardless of your ethnicity. The sun isn’t as big a danger in the spring as it is in the summer, which leads a lot of people to think they don’t need it. But the sun is still strong and getting a proper SPF is critical.
Also, avoid tanning beds. They’re horrible for your skin. Bronzers, like L’Oreal’s Sublime Bronze, work really great. Tanning beds can be 12 to 15 times the amount of ultraviolet radiation of normal sunlight. A base tan from a salon gives you an SPF of 3, which is hardly proper support against the sun.
Eating Rainbow Vegetables Great For Skin
For great skin, it’s really important to have a rainbow of colors on your plate. You want to eat plenty of brightly-colored vegetables to help your skin. They’re full of antioxidants and nutrients to help your skin stay great.
Water Is Essential For skin
Water is really important for good skin. If you’re 120 pounds, you need at least eight glasses of water a day. Depending on your weight, you’ll need to adjust that up or down. Sobe Lifewater and Vitamin Water are also a great choice. But it’s important to have plenty of real water, too.
Remove Your Makeup At Night
Removing makeup at night is the best thing you can do for your skin. Makeup blocks the pores. And even if you only do it once, the makeup can end up on your pillow and cause breakouts the next night.
Exercising Is Great Way To Improve Skin
Besides increasing your health overall, 30 minutes of exercise can do a lot to make your skin awesome. It tightens up the skin, chases away wrinkles and helps improve your skin. At least four days a week, 30 minutes of exercise is critical. Try 15 minutes of weights and 15 minutes of cardio.
