Kathie Lee & Hoda Ambush Makeovers: Black and White Maggy London Dress

It’s Thursday, which means it was ambush makeover day on Kathie Lee and Hoda. Louis Licari and Jill Martin teamed up to find two deserving ladies in the plaza.

KLG & Hoda Ambush Makeovers: Maggy London Dress & Son Named Soda Pop

A woman with sons named Soda Pop and River got a makeover March 21 2013 on Kathie Lee & Hoda.

First up was Karen from California. It’s Karen’s 59th birthday today, and she has had the same look for as long as she could remember. Her husband David was excited to come inside to get out of the cold, but he was also thrilled that his wife got to be on the Today Show, something she’s been dreaming of for years. Guest host Whitney Cummings said they need to shave David’s mustache because he looks like a serial killer.

Karen looked absolutely gorgeous when she came out! Nothing was overdone and she looked like a new woman. Licari gave her all-over blonde highlights and Martin put her in a flattering black and white Maggy London wrap dress. Karen said that maybe David would even be buying her a new diamond after the makeover!

Diana from Lima, Ohio was up next. Diana was very nervous about being on TV and the makeover, and she introduced viewers to her sons Soda Pop and River (real names). Soda Pop was named for the movie The Outsiders and River comes from River Phoenix. Maybe they can get some name makeovers while on the show.

Diana was moved to tears when she saw her new look. Licari gave her a soft, natural red color and took off a few inches of her hair. Martin dressed Diana in a London Times dress. She definitely looked a lot more professional and put together after the makeover. Soda Pop and River also liked their mom’s new look.
