If you are too busy of a woman to head to the gym everyday, Women’s Health’s Jenn Hager has the answer for you. She said you do not need to work out for 60 minutes to lose weight and get in shape. She said you can lose the same amount of weight and get just as tone with mini workouts.
She explained that the mini workouts work better because when you work out everyday for hours, you body gets used to the workout and begins to burn less calories in an effort to become more efficient. With the exercises below, you want to either do 10 of each or do as many as you can in 60 seconds.
- From a push-up position, bring you hands to your feet and then jump. When you come back to the ground, crunch down and jump back into a push-up position.
- Using an exercise ball, place your hands on the ball and try to roll it forward as far as you can with your feet in place.
- Using an exercise ball, place your feet on the ball and your hands on the floor. Now do a pike, like in swimming, by rolling the ball towards your hands with your feet.
