How many Moms out there have used their iPad as a babysitter or have gone by the two-second rule after your babies’ binky hit the ground? If you answered yes to either of those questions, you are not alone and it is alright. Kathie Lee and Hoda were joined by Alicia Ybarbo and Mary Ann Zoellner, authors of Sh***y Mom: The Parenting Guide for the Rest of Us and Today Show producers, who gave out some Mom advice.

Alicia Ybarbo & Mary Ann Zoellner talked about their new book Sh*tty Mom: The Parenting Guide for the Rest of Us & gave out some Mom advice


This is the second book for Alicia and Mary Ann, who also wrote Today’s MomMary Ann said it was after the first one and they started to hear from so many moms and asking for advice and they wanted to tell them to just settle down and relax and embrace those Sh*tty Mom moments.

Mom’s Advice: You’re Not Being Paranoid. People Do Actually Hate Your Baby

One of the chapters is named, “You’re Not Being Paranoid. People Do Actually Hate Your Baby.” Hoda said you are having fun, but people are actually learning things. Alicia said they are having such a good time with the book and they are trying to release some pressure and strain and guilt that is related to Mom and the fact that we have to be perfect about it.

How To Drop Your Sick Kid Off At Daycare Before The Teacher Can Figure It Out

Alicia said that everyone admits to that. Hoda said they did a poll and 57% said they would do that and 43% said no way. Mary Ann said it is hard being a Mom and you gotta do what you gotta do when you gotta do it. She said they give you advice on how many calls you have to take before you actually have to go get the kid.

Alicia said someone commented on the book and said we are all sh*tty moms at one point and they are just trying to make us feel better about it. The ladies dedicated the book to their Moms.
