How Deep Is The Ocean? is showing at The New York Musical Theater Festival. The book is written by Pia Cincotti and the music and lyrics are by Peter Cincotti. Kathie Lee said it has everything: love, lust and Tony Danza.
It is an environmentally friendly love story about a pool guy competing with his rival for the heart of a woman they both love. It has been a sold-out show and is coming back to the New York stage for two more performances.
How Deep Is The Ocean: Tony Danza’s Role
Tony Danza is am actor, singer and dancer. He said the idea of the play is very original and it is fun. Danza has one number only in the second act of How Deep Is The Ocean? Danza said he is like a surprise guest for the show. He plays a character that yells from the audience at the main character and then joins him on stage for one number.
How Deep Is The Ocean: Peter Cincotti Music
Peter Cincotti said that his sister, Pia Cincotti, is the nut who came up with the chlorine idea. Peter is responsible for the music and lyrics in this show. Tony Danza said that Peter is different and when he saw Peter play the piano, it is something special. Metropolis is Peter’s newest album and Danza said it’s great and Peter writes all his stuff. This is Peter’s fourth album and a big change from the jazz-focused and crooner-type albums he became famous for.
