Kathie Lee and Hoda talked with Kyle Humphrey and Graydon Sheppard, the writers and creators of the videos and the authors of the new book, Sh*t Girls Say.
Sh*t Girls Say: Where They Get The Material
They said it comes from everywhere. If they ever take anything from their friends, they tell them, but they hear it on the streets and everywhere and just write it down. Graydon plays the girl in the videos. He said the transformation usually takes about an hour. Kathie Lee said that is how long it takes her.
Sh*t Girls Say: How Long To Go Viral
Kyle said that Kathie Lee and Hoda really helped when they showed the video in December and it just took off from the YouTube video. Graydon said they then got the idea to do a book and they got really excited about that. It seemed like the next logical step from the Twitter and the YouTube videos and now.
Sh*t Girls Say: Negative Feedback?
Graydon said nobody recognizes him. He said they get a really good reaction from people and they love it and quoting from it. He said very rarely do they get negative feedback. Their friends and families all love it and they have gotten an overwhelming show of support.

They aren’t making any money off of the YouTube videos, but they are hoping to with this book. They said their inspirations are their sisters and mothers. Kyle’s sister is the one they get most of their material from.
