Kathie Lee and Hoda watched as Lou Manfredini showed them how to fix a noisy bathroom fan, how to hang Redi Shade blinds and how to fix a bathtub faucet.

Manfredini said it is going to be tough to get the cabinets to match the countertops but he said there are ways to compliment the countertops. He suggested buying Cabinet Transformations by Rustoleum to get the perfect look. The kit comes with everything you will need to de-gloss the cabinet, paint the cabinet and then finally glaze the cabinet. Manfedini said in just one weekend you can literally transform your kitchen for only a few hundred dollars.

Christine wrote into the show saying whenever she lifts the plunger on top of her bathtub faucet, to direct the water to the shower head, only some of the water is directed while the rest spills out the bathtub faucet.

Manfredini said that is easy to fix. Most bathtub faucets will screw right off the wall or you can use a screwdriver to pry it off the wall where the fitting under the faucet permits. All you need to do then is buy another faucet and stick it onto the copper tube protruding from the wall.

Andrea wrote into the show saying she has a loud bathroom fan and she wants to know if there is a cheap fix since she rents the apartment and can’t do any major repairs.

Manfredini said the first thing she needs to do is take the fan off the ceiling. Next, turn the fan over and remove the motor with a special screwdriver called a torque screwdriver. When you have the motor removed, simply buy a new one for around $20 at a hardware store and screw everything back into place.

Kathie Lee & Hoda: How To Install Blinds For Cheap

Suzy wrote in saying she wants to install her own blinds but she is really intimated. According to Manfredini, there is no reason to be intimated by blinds when you can order blinds online from Redi Shade. When you order shades from Redi Shade online, you can choose any size shade you want and they even come with adhesive tape to keep the blinds in place.

Does it really get any easier than doing some measuring, placing an order and then taping the blinds to the wall? I don’t think so.
