Kathie Lee & Hoda: Hot College Trends
Everything with college is expensive these days, but the clothes don’t have to be. Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb are joined by Lori Bergamotto, Contributing Style Editor at Lucky Magazine, who shared campus cool looks for college-bound students that are all under $100 and you will get a lot of mileage out of these looks, including Lands’ End reviews and American Eagle Shirt Dress review.
Preppy Look: Lands End Chino & LL Bean Sweater
For him: Lori Bergamotto suggested a Chino for $60 from Lands’ End, Sweater for $54.95 from LL Bean and Plaid Shirt for $90 from Superdry. (I guess she meant each piece is under $100, not the whole look)! She wanted to channel that collegiate look, but make it modern for 2012.
For her: Lori Bergamotto suggested a Shirt Dress for $49.95 from American Eagle, Cardigan for $16 from Joe Fresh and Ballet Flats for $49.95 from H&M. She said this is something every collegiate girl needs in her wardrobe. It’s great to go to class, but also interviews and internships.
Sporty Look: JC Penney Jeans & Joe Fresh Hoodie
For him: Lori Bergamotto suggested Jeans for $25 from JC Penney, Shirt for $16.99 from Target and Hoodie for $29 from Joe Fresh. She said she wanted to keep it simple and really fun.
For her: Lori Bergamotto suggested Pants for $59.90 from The Limited, Shirt for $30 from Lands’ End and Jacket for $69.95 from Gap. She said girls tend to veer away from the sporty look because it might look too casual, but she gave her more feminine colors.
Hipster Look: H&M Jeans & Sweater Vest
For him: Lori Bergamotto suggested Jeans for $39.95 from H&M, Shirt for $24.99 from Target and Sweater Vest for $34.95 from H&M. She said more college students are going for the Bohemian look. She wanted to give him the Grandpa-chic look.
For her: Lori Bergamotto suggested Shirt for $49 from Joe Fresh, Pants for $64 from Macy’s and Boots for $60 from Call It Spring. The pants are a printed pants and a huge trend right now.
