Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb welcomed Bobbie Thomas, from Bobbie.com and Today Show Style Editor, as she gave some trendy denim looks for the summer, including trends in cutoffs, skirts and dresses, that will keep your stylish and trendy during those hot summer days.
Denim Trends: Celebrity Styles
Bobbie Thomas said that many celebrity are rocking the denim this summer. Carrie Underwood rocked the sequined denim shorts, Rihanna with the studded denim shorts and Jeremy Scott working the runway with fringe on the denim shorts. Also, the chambray dresses are making their way to the runways.
Denim Trends: Cutoffs
In your 20s, Bobbie Thomas said that cutoffs are the easiest thing to pull off. Bobbie suggested Belted Denim Bermuda Shorts for $14 from JCPenney and pairing it with a Tinley Road Outer Banks Tie Blouse for $29.99 from Piperlime. She said adding a belt to anything adds instant sophistication. It’s a grownup way to wear denim shorts. Bobbie also suggested the Five-Pocket Cuffed Denim Cutoff for $68 from Free People.

Bobbie Thomas suggested a denim skirt for $11 and paired with a Bouquet Blouse for $32 from Fashion To Figure. Bobbie said the blouse is the key to dressing up the skirt. She said to get something chiffon or floral. Bobbie said even a plain white t-shirt would class it up.
Denim Trends: Dress
Bobbie Thomas said that chambray is a lighter weight fabric that looks like denim. She suggested a Crossover Chambray Dress for $64.99 from Eloquii. Bobbie said with the heat, this is a nice way to wear the denim look. It has been a hot summer, so keeping cool is key to everyone, but we also want to look good at the same time.
