Kathie Lee Gifford and Regis Philbin are joined by Anthony Mackie and Benjamin Walker, stars of the new movie, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which is produced by Tim Burton and directed by Timur Bekmambetov. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opens in theaters on June 22 2012.

Anthony Mackie said a lot of the movie is steeped in actual history. Regis Philbin said it could be true, but you never say it isn’t true.

The movie is produced by Tim Burton, who is known for such hits as Beetlejuice, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Sweeney Todd. It is directed by Timur Bekmambetov, who is best known for the Angelina Jolie film Wanted.

The movie was shot in New Orleans. Anthony Mackie said the effects are amazing and when you see it in 3D it immerses you into the movie and it will make you scream.

Benjamin Walker: Abraham Lincoln In Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Benjamin Walker will be playing Abraham Lincoln in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  Jackson said Abraham is just an ordinary guy doing extraordinary things.

Walker is best known for his starring role in the Broadway musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. Benjamin Walker is married to Mamie Gummer, the daughter of Meryl Streep and is a 2004 graduate of the Julliard Actor Training Program.

For Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Anthony Mackie plays William H. Johnson, Abraham Lincoln’s best friend and they go out and slaughter all the vampires together. Mackie has starred in films, such as The Hurt Locker, 8 Mile and The Adjustment Bureau.

During the summer of 2011, Mackie opened a bar, called NoBar, in Brooklyn. Anthony brought a Summer Rose wine for Kathie Lee and Regis to enjoy, which they sell at his bar.
