Kathie Lee & Hoda: Annette Funicello Dies At 70
Kathie Lee and Hoda started off their April 9 2013 episode by paying tribute to Annette Funicello, one of the most popular Mouseketeers on the original Mickey Mouse Club. Kathie Lee said she had the honor of meeting Funicello once time and she was a wonderful woman. She was also one of the first people to publicly talk about multiple sclerosis, the disease that took her life. In a time when it was taboo to talk of such illnesses, a newspaper was going to run a story saying she was actually an alcoholic, since the two illnesses have similar symptoms, but Funicello decided to come out with the truth.
Hoda said she once saw a documentary made by Funicello’s husband showing her struggle with MS. She said it was one of the saddest videos she has ever seen.

A lot of people thought Cher died the other day when a hashtag for Margaret Thatcher’s death surfaced on Twitter. The hashtag read #NowThatchersDead, which many read as #NowThatChersDead.
So, to clear that up, Cher is not dead.

In more internet news, a hoax website went up over the weekend claiming to the be the real website for Joel Osteen and also claiming Osteen had renounced God and was now an athiest. A lot of media outlets picked up on the website but it was revealed today the website was a hoax.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Putin Protestors Bare All
Vladimir Putin got quite the show when he visited Germany over the weekend. A group of German protestors, all women, tore off their shirts and flashed Putin, but he didn’t seem to be phased. He actually gave the women two thumbs up.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: The Voice Review
Hoda loved the last episode of The Voice. She said the two biggest breakout singers from the night were Sasha Allen, who sang a Dixie Chicks song, and Ryan Innes, who sang a Sara Bareilles song.
