Kathie Lee & Hoda: The Scoop
Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb join us for Winesday Wednesday on The Today Show and get things started talking about The Joy Fit Club book party, Fitinis, Miley Cyrus’ engagement and much more.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Joy Fit Club Book Party
Last night, Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb attended the book party for Joy Bauer, nutrition and health expert for The Today Show. Joy Bauer’s new book, The Joy Fit Club: Cookbook, Diet Plan and Inspiration, launched this year and is available on Amazon. The party took place at the Eventi Hotel, where you can see the Empire State Building on one side and the new World Trade area on the other side. They also enjoyed Fitinis, a 130-calorie cocktail.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Miley Cyrus Engaged
People Magazine has announced that Miley Cyrus, 19 years old, is now engaged to Liam Hemsworth, 22 years old and one of the stars of The Hunger Games. The couple met while shooting the movie, The Last Song, and have been dating since.
They actually shared their first kiss on-screen. While Kathie Lee Gifford was hesitant on the age of Miley Cyrus to be engaged, she quoted her father: “I love you too much to deny you the privilege of making mistakes.”
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Sheryl Crow Benign Brain Tumor
Sheryl Crow, singing sensation, has been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. She has released a statement saying, “I’m OK.” Sheryl Crow is currently on tour promoting her latest album, 100 Miles From Memphis.
She has had battled breast cancer in the past, which makes this a bigger story than it needs to be. Sheryl has dealt with memory loss and even forgot the lyrics to hit her song, “Soak Up The Sun,” while performing last month.
America’s Got Talent: Andrew De Leon Shocks Judges
Kathie Lee and Hoda say to not always judge a book by it’s cover. The judges of America’s Got Talent, Howard Stern, Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne, were blown away when Andrew De Leon, a goth-looking, make-up wearing, loner kid, took the stage. He never sang in public or in front of his family and puts on a stunning opera performance…brings the audience to tears.
Hot In Cleveland: Regis Philbin Guest Stars
Kathie Lee Gifford’s old co-host, Regis Philbin, has a new gig after his retirement last year. He starred in a guest role on last night’s season finale of Hot In Cleveland. Regis played a gay hairdresser named Pierre and does a little flirting with Betty White’s character, Elka Ostrovsky. The character was a success, as Regis was asked to come back for next season’s season premiere.
