Kathie Lee & Hoda: Summer Time Travel Options
You might have just gotten back from your spring break vacation but there is no better time to start looking for summertime vacations than right now. If you have some money left over from spring break, you might want to think about booking a night at some of the resorts below.
Maine Camp Experience Review
Sarah Spagnolo, an editor for Travel+Leisure magazine, said one of the best family vacations to take this summer is to Maine Camp Experience. The Family Camp at Maine Camp Experience is the perfect place to go for a family that wants their days packed with fun. For only $65 per person, per night, you can do archery, go on a zip line or take tennis lessons, among many other activities And the part parents usually love the most is getting the kids off the phone. No electronics are allowed in the camp.
Carlsbad California West Inn Review
This quaint, boutique hotel is only minutes from Legoland and just north of some beautiful beaches in San Diego. My favorite part about the hotel is every guest gets complimentary milk and cookies before they head to bed.
The cost for one night is only $159 per night.
Rosario Resort Review
If you are looking to vacation in the Northwest, Spagnolo suggested staying at Rosario Resort on Orcas Island, Washington. She said the views are amazing and it is the perfect spot for a family that loves to do outdoor activities together. At only $119 a night, this resort is offering some rooms that are a steal.
Big Cedar Lodge In the Ozarks
If you are looking for a getaway in the mountains, Spagnolo suggested Big Cedar Lodge in the Ozark Mountains. Kathie Lee said she stayed at this resort years ago and it was lovely. She said Branson, Montana is a lovely place to visit with a lot of stuff to do, like see the Titanic. If you are more of an outdoorsy person, you will have a blast exploring the 180 acre resort.
Summer rates for the lodge start at $179 a night.
Hilton Chicago Review
If you want to stay in the city for a vacation, Spagnolo said there is no better place to stay than the Hilton Chicago. This hotel offers rooms for $159 a night and it is located within walking distance of Millennium Park, the aquarium and the planetarium.
