Kathie Lee & Hoda: Celtic Thunder Performance
In an effort to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a bit early, Kathie Lee and Hoda invited Celtic Thunder on the show to play “Turning Away,” off their new album, Mythology, which went to number one on the Billboard World Chart and was the band’s tenth album to date.
Celtic Thunder is known for their eclectic musical style which can range from one person singing most of the song to the entire five member band singing in unison. The band, although relatively unknown in the states, opened the St. Patrick’s Day parade in New York City in 2009, they played for President Obama that same day and they recently played at the Pentagon last year.
The band got some more attention when one of their members, Damian McGinty, won the Glee Project and had a 16 episode guest spot on the television show.
