If you think it is too late to find somewhere to go for spring break, think again. Kathie Lee and Hoda invited Sarah Spagnolo, digital projects editor for Travel + Leisure magazine, on the show to go over the top five best spring break locations you can still book today at an affordable price.
St Kitts Marriott Resort
Spagnolo said her first spring break spot is the Marriott Resort in St. Kitts. She said this is the island Caribbean tourism forgot about. The white sand beaches, the swim up bar at the pool, a beach bar and a pineapple papaya body rub are only a few reasons to book a room today. At only $199 a night, it is almost like you are staying in paradise for free.
One Ocean Resort and Spa, Jacksonville
Jacksonville it known for its lively spring break crowd. Spagnolo said this is the spot to head to if you want a traditional spring break. At only $179 a night, this resort is only five minutes from the bars and crowds but far enough from the main partying area to give you the space you need when you just want to lay on the beach and enjoy the sun. Spagnolo said she was even able to find flights that were around $350 roundtrip from New York.
Quail Lodge In Carmel Valley, California
Carmel Valley is located about 120 miles south of San Francisco. The best place to stay in the city is at the Quail Lodge which just underwent a $28 million renovation, and it isn’t set to open until March 26. She said there are great places to golf around the lodge, the ocean is a quick drive from the lodge and their Be the First package only costs $125 a night.
Liaison Capitol Hill In Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C. may seem like a strange place to spend a spring break but Spagnolo said this is the best time to go. You can enjoy the annual cherry blossom festival and the Cherry Blossom Getaway package starts at $189 a night, which includes picnic goodies, cheese plates, cookies and more.
Spring Creek Ranch In Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Jackson Hole, Wyoming got hit with 28 feet of snow this winter, meaning the slopes are ripe for snowboarding and skiing. For only $87 a night you can get a hotel room and and free ski pass for the slopes.
