Kathie Lee & Hoda: Plaza Ambush Makeover

It is that time of the week again. Stylist Louis Licari and Today Show contributor Jill Martin went out into the Today Show crowd where they found two deserving women for their Plaza Ambush Makeover.

Today, Licari and Martin grabbed two friends from the audience who were wearing some goofy hats and were clearly in need of a makeover.

The first woman they gave a makeover to was Julie, 44, who said she is a busy mother who hasn’t had a chance to focus on herself for a very long time. She said she was excited for something new, and she was excited to show her boyfriend her new look when she got home.

Kathie Lee and Hoda took two women, Julie and Sheryl, who are friends, from the Today Show audience to give them an Ambush Plaza Makeover.

When Julie came out on the set after her makeover, she looked completely different. Licari said he gave her a simple bob cut because the bob is a good look for her. He said it is very attractive, flattering and flirty all at the same time. As for her clothes, Martin said she dressed her in a Maggy London dress with an exposed zipper, something she said is becoming very trendy this year.

Sheryl, Julies’s friend, was the next woman to get a makeover. She told Kathie Lee and Hoda she was excited for the new makeover because right now her beauty routine only consists of her taking a shower, getting dressed and getting out the door. Even if she is excited for the makeover, she said her husband probably wouldn’t even notice her new look.

When she came out on the stage with her new look, all she could say to herself in the mirror was “oh my gosh.”

Licari said he cut her hair to give it more texture and he softened her hair color to a light brown. He said he also went light on her makeup, saying less is always more when it comes to makeup. As for the clothes, Martin said she dressed Sheryl in a dress from London Times paired with a medium sized belt around her waist to help emphasize the dress.
