Sometimes being healthy can be confusing. Should you eat a big breakfast in the morning and then a small lunch and a small dinner? What should you be eating during lunch anyways? Is your towel too dirty to use? And how long should a toothbrush be used for? These are just some of the questions people ask themselves every day with no answer in sight.

In an effort to help more people make healthier decisions, Kathie Lee and Hoda invited Deputy Editor of Self magazine, Meaghan Murphy, on the show to go over which healthy choice may not be so healthy after all.

Kathie Lee and Hoda went over scenarios where they explained why one choice is worse than the other. Eating vegetables with fat helps the body absorb nutrients.

Not brushing your teeth well or only using mouthwash? – Murphy said not brushing your teeth well is worse. She said we need the toothbrush to break up all the plaque buildup on teeth. She also revealed that mouthwash can make you breath smell worse. When the alcohol in the mouthwash dries out, it can make your breath stink.

Dirty bed sheets or a dirty towel? – Dirty bath towels are worse. She said the bathroom is the perfect place for fungus, bacteria and yeast to grow since the room is so humid and moist.

Hitting the snooze button or getting out of bed? – Hitting the snooze button is worse. The average snooze time is around eight minutes, which is not enough time to get you any extra energy in the morning. Murphy suggested going to sleep earlier so you can wake up more refreshed.

Not eating vegetables at all or eating vegetables with fat? – Not eating vegetables at all is worse. Murphy said new research has shown eating vegetables with a minimal amount of fat will help your body absorb more nutrients.

Skipping breakfast or having a donut in the morning? – Skipping breakfast is worse. It makes the body think it should store more fat in case it has to go for a long time without any nutrients.
