Today Show: Toyota Concert Series
Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb welcomed Kip Moore to the Today Show stage, as he took part in the Toyota Concert Series on Today. After a talk with the ladies, Moore performed his hit single, “Somethin’ ’bout A Truck.”
Kip Moore: A Dream and A Guitar
In 2004, Kip Moore, a Georgia native, got in his truck and drove to Nashville carrying only a bag, his guitar and a dream. Moore’s hard work and determination paid off. Kathie Lee Gifford asked him if he thought he would make it this big and he said he hoped, but you learn to never assume things are going to happen in Nashville.
Kip Moore has been called the “Hillbilly Springsteen.” Moore said that is quite a compliment, but he has not done enough to deserve that.
Kip Moore: Up All Night Review
Kip Moore released his debut CD, Up All Night, in April 2012. The first single from the album, Somethin’ ’bout A Truck, was released on September 27, but the album was not released until April 2012. A month after being released, Somethin’ ’bout a Truck reached the number one spot on the country charts. The second single to be released on his album will be Beer Money.
Kip Moore: Early Life
Kip Moore was born in Tifton, Georgia. His father was a golf pro and his mother was a painter, His mother also taught piano and played the church organ. While attending Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, AL, Moore began playing guitar. Moore went big for his first public performance when he performed at a Mellow Mushroom restaurant in Valdosta, GA. Before packing up and heading to Nashville, Moore took some time away and he moved to a little hut in Hawaii. While there, Moore took up backpacking and surfing.
