Kathie Lee & Hoda: Judith Hill’s Voice Elimination
The elimination of Team Adam’s Judith Hill was “one of the most shocking eliminations ever,” Kathie Lee said. The former Voice contestant sat down with Kathie Lee and Hoda to talk about that fateful night and her life after The Voice.
“It was like the Hunger Games,” she said. “It was really scary. You’re on the chopping block and everyone’s screaming. It’s pretty surreal.” Before her life as a contestant, Judith had been working in the music world and had spent a long time singing and performing as a backup singer for Michael Jackson until his death.
Since the beginning of the show, she had been a frontrunner to win the competition. She said that she was shocked, as was her coach Adam Levine, but she said that anything can happen on these shows and she had a blast performing and giving it her all.
Judith Hill: 20 Feet From Stardom Documentary
Now that Judith has been eliminated from The Voice, she has a few projects in the works. She said that she is rejoining the cast of 20 Feet from Stardom, a documentary about backup singers, or as she said, the “unsung heroes.”
The film shines a spotlight on those who are just out of the spotlight, and features backup singers for and appearances by Sheryl Crow, Mick Jagger, and Bette Midler.
She also mentioned that she is going to start working on an album. She said that she is in talks for a record deal and in the meantime, she has already started writing songs and lyrics for the hopeful future album.
