Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb introduce the newest member of The Joy Fit Club, Clint Lehman who lost 196 pounds while going from 362 pounds to his new weight of 166.
Clint Lehman: Food Was A Comfort
Clint Lehman told Kathie Lee and Hoda that he started gaining weight in the 5th grade. For Clint, food was a comfort and his mind would let him mindlessly eat and he would eat unhealthier foods that were cheaper and convenient.
Grad school was the culmination of all Chase’s bad eating habits. The time constraints of grad school led him to eat more unhealthy foods the busier he got. The lack of self confidence was always in his head.
Clint Lehman: Walking & Weight Watchers
Clint Lehman was over the weight gaining, so he joined his corporate gym and started a walking program. To add to the new workout routine, Clint also started to eat less fast food. Clint met his girlfriend, Jenna, when he was at his heaviest weight of 362 pounds. After losing his first 20 pounds, Jenna convinced him to join Weight Watchers with her.
As the weight started to come off, Clint started to ride the bike at the gym and eventually he progressed to running. In eight months, Clint lost over 100 pounds. Now he is engaged to his number one supporter, Jenna, and they eat healthy food together….she has lot 65 pounds herself.
Clint Lehman: The Reveal
Clint Lehman came out for his reveal and he looks absolutely amazing…a different person. Clint said he feels so much better, healthier. He can go out and do anything with his friends. Jenna, his fiance, wants to lose 105 pounds and Joy Bauer said she will come back to join the Joy Fit Club.

Kathie Lee and Hoda welcome Joy Bauer, Today Show nutritionist and author of The Joy Fit Club: Cookbook, Diet Plan and Inspiration, to the show to discuss how Clint did it. Joy says that there are so many smart strategies that led to Clint Lehman’s success. One thing was when he first started, he strapped on a pedometer and made a commitment to make 10,000 steps a day, which adds up to about 5 miles.
Joy Bauer: Eliminate Fast Food
Joy Bauer shared one of the differences that Clint Lehman started implementing in his diet. He went from fast food burgers and fries, which consist of 1270 calories and 72 grams of fat. Clint started making a spicy chicken sandwich and an Italian Ranch Turkey Burger. He eats roasted potatoes with both for a total of 450 calories and nine grams of fat.
