Kathie Lee & Hoda: Billy Burke Revolution Review
The midseason premiere of Revolution is premiering March 25 2013, which means fans of the show are finally going to figure out who dies on tonight’s episode. But even with Kathie Lee and Hoda prodding Revolution star Billy Burke to give them some spoilers, he said everyone is just going to have to tune in. Hoda Kotb pointed out in one of the newspapers she reads, the entire front page was dedicated to The Voice while the entire page back was dedicated to Revolution. Was Burke a little nervous about NBC toting both these programs as their best chance at getting ratings up? All he had to say was that the entire cast is doing it’s best to make the episodes as exciting to watch as possible.
In the midseason premiere, Burke said the rebels have found Danny, the person they were searching for during the first half of the season, and now the season is moving towards ways they can stop the evil Monroe and start a revolution. Burke also revealed he was going to play the bad guy in the show, but the casting director could not find anyone to play the part of Miles Matheson so Burke was cast in that role instead.
If you want to watch the show but are nervous about starting in the middle of the season, Burke said it is easy to catch on to. He said the plot is simple; there is no more power in the world and life is a bit more simple than it used to be. Basically everyone on the show is simply trying to survive and fight for the things they care about.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Billy Burke Music Career
Billy Burke never intended on being an actor. He said he wanted to be a musician when he was younger. He was in Seattle around the time of grunge rock and he eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue music. After a demo deal with Warner Brothers fell through he decided to try his hand at acting.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Billy Burke’s Twilight Mustache
A lot of people might recognize Billy Burke from the Twilight movies where he played the character Charlie Swan. He said the mustache Charlie Swan had throughout the Twilight series was his idea although he shaved it off after the movies completed filming.
Do you like him with the mustache or without it? Kathie Lee and Hoda said they liked him better without it.
