Andy Samberg, from Saturday Night Live fame, joins Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb in the studio to talk about his latest project, That’s My Boy, an Adam Sandler film starring both Adam Sandler and Andy.

That’s My Boy Review

The latest Adam Sandler movie is one we haven’t seen before. While still in his teens, Donny (Adam Sandler) fathered a son, Todd (Andy Samberg), and raised him as a single parent up until Todd’s 18th birthday. After not seeing each other for years, Todd’s world comes crashing down when Donny returns to his life and is looking for some money. The movie opens in theaters on June 15 2012.

Andy Samberg said he lobbied for the role of playing Adam Sandler’s son, Todd. Samberg says he the read script and thought the age difference was perfect and their noses are very similar. Todd is a weird kind of guy, being scarred from having such a strange upbringing, he carries around a spare pair of underwear in case of emergency and showers in his bathing suit. Donny, Sandler’s character, is a kid raising a kid and all that results in problem.

Andy Samberg: Saturday Night Live

After seven years on Saturday Night Live, Andy Samberg has announced he will not be returning for next season. He waited to make the announcement because Samberg didn’t have time to talk to Loren Michaels before the season ended and wanted to talk to him before making the announcement. Samberg fulfilled his contract, which was initially signed for seven years. During his time on SNL, Samberg and his friends created 100 digital shorts, including the famous “Dick In A Box” with Justin Timberlake. Andy says he is definitely going to miss all his friends and is hoping to stay in touch with all of them and come back to SNL in some capacity.
