Kathie Lee & Hoda: The Other View
Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb and Sara Haines were joined in the studio to talk The Other View with Willie Geist, host of MSNBC’s Way Too Early With Willie Geist and co-host of Morning Joe. Today they got advice from men from Willie on defining your relationship, dating sites and dieting.
Advice From Men: Defining The Relationship
I’ve been seeing a guy for three weeks now. When should I ask him how he sees me (i.e. am I his friend or his girlfriend)?
Willie said that is a scary conversation for a guy that he doesn’t want to get into. If seeing a guy means what he thinks it means, you are not friends and you will never be friends. He said he doesn’t think there is any harm in having a little fun on that first date.
Willie Geist: Dating Sites
I’ve been single for six years and I recently joined a dating site. From a guy’s point of view, what needs to be on my profile for you to actually want to meet me?ADVERTISEMENT
Willie said he has actually never been on a dating site. He met his wife when he was 11 years old. He said he thinks honesty is most important. Be honest about your life and put it out there. It is better to be honest on there and maybe you’ll find someone who is going through the same thing. For the picture, just something that looks casual and not overdone. He said to not overdo it and give out too much information. He doesn’t need to know you like Harry Potter books.
The Other View: Men and Dieting
I am trying to lose weight and my husband isn’t and doesn’t need to. How do I get him to kick those unhealthy eating habits, like soda pop, snacks and treats, because it makes it harder for me?
Willie said that age and gravity will dictate that for him. You hit a certain age and you can no longer pump everything into your body. He will get fat and that’s good for you because he’ll go on the diet. He said find a diet that is palatable to him, where he can eat some chicken and vegetables and not a juice cleanse.
