Wendy Williams: S. Epatha Merkerson

Lincoln, Deception, The Good Wife – S. Epatha Merkerson is telling Wendy about her excellent choice in jobs. In NBC’s new hit DeceptionMerkerson plays a character she said is completely different from her well-known role on Law & OrderShe played Lydia Hamilton Smith in Lincoln, the biracial housekeeper that was Thaddeus Stevens’ (played by Tommy Lee Jones) confidant.

Wendy is beyond excited to talked to Merkerson about her projects. Merkerson also made her directorial debut last year with The Contradictions of Fair Hope. The documentary discussed the loss of community and traditions in The Fair Hope Benevolent Society. The organization was founded by freed slaves and they had a celebration every year in September. Merkerson’s film shows how the festival has changed into a drug and gun fest. She believes it’s because of a breakdown in community.

Does anyone else look at The Saturdays and want to shout, “You’re not the Spice Girls!” Maybe that’s just me and my undying loyalty to Posh Spice. In any case, Wendy has the new UK pop girl band in her studio to talk about their UK chart toppers and attempt to make it in America.

E! has been Chasing the Saturdays for a few months now as they try to make a new hit reality show. Frankie, Mollie, Rochelle, Una and Vanessa let the cameras follow their lives and dramas.
