Wendy Williams: Controversial Beyoncé Lyrics

The first topic on the agenda today is Beyoncé’s first new single in two years. “Bow Down” is raising eyebrows with it’s less than supportive lyrics. “I know when you were little girls you dreamt of being in my world. Don’t forget it. Respect that. Bow down.”

Mayte Garcia of Hollywood Exes believes that Jay-Z is putting thoughts in Queen Bey’s head. The crowd agrees. A.J. Hammer from Showbiz Tonight thought it was a strange move for Beyoncé. She doesn’t do much without a calculated and thought-out agenda.

Nancy Giles from CBS Sunday Morning thinks Beyoncé is fine and wishes she had written the song. She thinks that sometimes women need to tell other women to bow down. Wendy thinks that if you need to do that, then you don’t deserve it. Wendy says that the best move for Beyoncé would have been to put the song on a Jay-Z album. She wonders if Sasha and Malia Obama will be listening to this new CD. Lately it seems like the world really has been bowing down to Beyoncé. I’m not sure this new song will have people bowing for the right reasons.
